Bio	Hi, I’m Kaylin! I’m an outdoor content creator and adventure cat educator, and I’ve spent the last five years hiking, backpacking, camping and doing part-time van life with my Adventure Cat Max. I teach cat parents how to safely introduce their cats to the outdoors through gentle harness training, backpack acclimation and confidence-building techniques. My workshops and upcoming group trips are designed to give you practical skills, community and the confidence to explore the outdoors with your cat - whether you’re taking your very first outdoor walk or dreaming of a bigger adventure. Because I regularly partner with cat and outdoor brands, guests can often expect fun perks like free gear, treats and trail-friendly products to try on each event or trip. FAQ

1. How did you first start hiking with your cat, Max?

Well, first I spent weeks researching how to train her and months actually putting it into practice. From harness training to little spoon sleep training, to teaching her how to fist bump; from city walks and neighborhood parks to true hiking trails and regular car rides (arguably the most important thing to do as soon as you get a cat 🚗); plus socializing her with other cats and dogs whenever possible…it all took a ton of patience. But every minute of training has been 100% worth it.

2. Is Max comfortable around people and other animals at workshops?

Glad you asked! Max does great around people - she’s very sociable and will often approach strangers on the trail - but she’s still learning around other cats since she hasn’t had much exposure yet. She tends to prefer older, bigger male cats (and honestly…same, Max, same). She’s very well trained and comfortable in new environments, including around dogs and crowds; in fact, she was a celebri-cat at CatCon this year, where she observed people and a few other cats safely from her backpack. This is completely normal for cats, and the best way to help them feel confident is through gradual, safe exposure.

3. What inspired you to start hosting adventure cat workshops?

So many people want to turn their cat into an adventure cat but don’t know where to begin. I’ve been taking my cat on outdoor adventures for the past 5 years, and I’m excited to help others do the same. These workshops are designed to give you practical skills and build confidence so you feel ready to explore with your cat. Eventually, my goal is to bring small groups together for shared adventures with our cats in the wild.

4. How does your cat do in the van, while you are on longer road trips together?

Max actually does great in the van during longer road trips. She has a dedicated cozy space with her bed, a perch, some hiding spots and familiar scents, which helps her stay calm and settled. She can always access her litter box for anytime she needs to go while on the road!

5. What are your goals as a content creator?

My goal as a content creator is to inspire people to get outside, whether or not they have someone to join them, and to bring their cat along for the adventure -because if dogs can do it, so can cats. I focus on brand partnerships that celebrate the outdoors, empower people, and align with my passion for cats and adventure. Ultimately, I want to help others explore confidently, embrace slow travel, and create memorable experiences with their pets. If your brand is mission-aligned, I’d love to work with you!
